Strawberry Lemonade Recipe

WITH ELECTROLYTES

Ingredients and their Health Benefits

  • 2 cups organic coconut water (you can substitute 1 cup of organic coconut water for 1 cup of organic coconut milk for a creamier consistency): A natural hydrator, coconut water is loaded with potassium, sodium, and manganese, making it an excellent choice for rehydration.
  • 1/2 cup strawberries (fresh or frozen): Strawberries are packed with antioxidants, vitamins, and fibre. They add a burst of flavour and a host of health benefits.
  • 1 cup ice chips: Keeping the drink cold and refreshing.
  • 1/2 cup water: To adjust the consistency and add extra hydration.
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice: Lemons are rich in vitamin C, support digestion, and add a zesty flavour.
  • 1 teaspoon lemon rind: Adds an extra zing and a dose of antioxidants.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Celtic Sea salt: A minimally processed salt that offers vital minerals and aids in maintaining electrolyte balance.
  • 1 tablespoon local organic honey: A natural sweetener that also has antibacterial properties.

How to Prepare

  1. In a blender, combine the coconut water, strawberries, ice chips, and water.
  2. Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice, lemon rind, Celtic Sea salt, and honey.
  3. Blend until smooth and all ingredients are well combined.
